Entities
An entity represents the ownership structure of your properties. It can be an individual, an LLC, a partnership, a trust, or a corporation.
Why entities matter
- Properties are linked to entities, not individual user accounts
- This allows multiple people to access the same properties
- Financial reporting is organized by entity
- Tax documents are generated for the entity
Entity information
Your entity profile includes:
- Name: Your legal business name or personal name
- Type: Individual, LLC, Corporation, Partnership, or Trust
- EIN: Your Employer Identification Number (for business entities)
- Members: People linked to this entity
Viewing your entity
1. Go to Account in the sidebar 2. Scroll to the Entity section 3. View your entity details and member list
Updating entity information
If your entity information changes (new EIN, name change, restructuring): 1. Send a message to the Parcel team 2. Provide the updated information 3. We will update your records and any affected documents
