House rules
House rules set clear expectations for guests and protect your property.
Adding rules during setup
1. In the setup wizard, navigate to the Rules step 2. Toggle on any standard rules that apply: - No smoking - No pets - No parties or events - Quiet hours (typically 10 PM to 8 AM) - No unregistered guests 3. Add any custom rules in the text field 4. Click Continue
Examples of good custom rules
- "Please remove shoes at the front door"
- "Garbage and recycling go in the bins at the side of the house"
- "The pool gate must remain closed at all times"
- "Please do not adjust the thermostat below 68F or above 76F"
How rules are communicated to guests
- Rules are displayed on booking platform listings before guests book
- We include rules in the pre-arrival message sent to confirmed guests
- Rules are available in the digital guidebook guests receive at check-in
Updating rules later
Send a message to the Parcel team through the portal if you need to add, change, or remove rules. We will update all listings accordingly.
