Push notifications
Push notifications alert you in real-time when something important happens, even when you are not looking at the portal.
Requirements
- You must have the Parcel app installed on your device (see "Installing the Parcel App on Your Phone")
- Your browser must support push notifications (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
- You must grant notification permission when prompted
Enabling push notifications
On mobile (after installing the PWA): 1. Open the Parcel app from your home screen 2. If prompted, tap Allow to enable notifications 3. If you missed the prompt, go to Account > Notifications and toggle on push notifications
On desktop: 1. Log in to your portal at theparcelco.com 2. Your browser will ask "Allow notifications?" 3. Click Allow
What triggers push notifications
- New messages from the Parcel team
- New booking confirmations
- Payout processed
- Reservation request approved/declined
- Task assignments
Troubleshooting
Not receiving notifications?
- Check your device notification settings (Settings > Notifications on iPhone/Android)
- Make sure the Parcel app/site is allowed to send notifications
- Check that "Do Not Disturb" is not enabled
- Try logging out and back in to re-register for push
